SonicOne™ - Ultrasonic Wound Debridement System

Ultrasonic Wound Debridement System Treating a Wound

The Ultrasonic Wound Debridement (UWD) system allows the physician an effective treatment choice for the removal of devitalized or infected tissue, fibrin and foreign materials in the treatment and care of wounds. This results in exceptional granulation of the wound bed with minimal or no bleeding at the wound site.

The UWD system consists of electromechanical components designed to ultrasonically fragment the necrotic tissue from the wound bed and non-migratory cells from the ulcer edge. Irrigation at the probe tip enables the tissue to be flushed from the site improving healing of the wounds. The system is effective for the removal of necrotic tissue and fibrin while sparing the viable tissue underneath since the tissue is removed from the top down. Unlike other forms of debridement, the physician can easily distinguish tissue types and stop debridement when the viable tissue bed is reached.

The system is completely portable and the precise control makes the system easy to use for all skill levels for use in the hospital, clinic or professional office. The UWD has proven to be an effective wound care tool in enhancing visibility during the procedure at the wound site.
